It' In God's Word

1. As optimistic as I am ( I can find a bright side just about everything ), I also know that life can be dark and lonely place.

2. I've talked to teenegers who have a parent whose anger makes just going home after school a dreaded trip.

3. I've known people who can't escape the curtain depression.

4. I've spent considerable time with others who, like my wife and me, are enduring life with the sudden death of a child.

5. I've seen what rentless poverty can do to people all over the world.

6. Despite knowing that these scenarios exist, i dn't despair. I know that hope is available in Jesus, that guidence comes through the Spirit, and that knowledge and power are found in God's Word.

7. The words of Psalm 119 gives us encouragement. When our soul "clings to the dust", we can revived according to God's Word (v.25).

8. When our soul is full of sorrow, we can be strengthened by His Word (v.28).

9. When we are threatened by deceit, we can follow the truth of His Word (v.29-30). Our heart can be set free by God's commands (v.32).

10. Are life's demands overwhelming you? If so, you can find hope, guidence, and knowledge to help. It's in God 's Word. - Dave Branon

PPSMI

Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Sains Dan Matematik (PPSMI)

PPSMI telah termaktub sebagai keputusan dasar kerajaan Malaysia hasil daripada Mesyuarat Khas Jemaah Menteri pada 19 Julai 2002.

Pelaksanaan PPSMI adalah secara berperingkat, bermula pada sesi persekolahan tahun 2003 dengan perintisnya ialah semua murid Tahun 1 untuk peringkat Sekolah Rendah dan Tingkatan 1 serta Tingkatan 6 Rendah untuk peringkat Sekolah Menengah.

Pelaksanaan penuh PPSMI ialah pada tahun 2007 untuk peringkat Sekolah Menengah sementara peringkat Sekolah Rendah ialah pada tahun 2008.

Rasional kepada peralihan bahasa pengantar dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Sains dan Matematik daripada bahasa Melayu kepada bahasa Inggeris adalah atas dasar keprihatinan kerajaan terhadap pembangunan sumber tenaga manusia untuk mencapai taraf negara maju dan persiapan dari peringkat awal persekolahan untuk bersaing dalam era globalisasi.

Umum mengetahui bahawa sains dan matematik adalah bidang yang menjadi asas dan berperanan penting dalam kemajuan dan pembangunan sesebuah negara. Pelbagai inovasi dan penemuan baru dalam bidang ini berlaku dengan pantas dan capaian maklumat mengenai perkembangan dalam bidang ini banyak terdapat dalam bahasa Inggeris.

Selain itu, bahasa Inggeris adalah bahasa hubungan antarabangsa dan penguasaan dalam bahasa ini memudahkan perolehan ilmu dalam bidang ini.

Kesimpulannya, keputusan dasar untuk melaksanakan PPSMI bertujuan memastikan penguasaan yang lebih baik dalam sains dan matematik di kalangan murid memandangkan sebahagian besar sumbernya adalah dalam bahasa Inggeris. Secara tidak langsung, pelaksanaan PPSMI diharapkan akan turut meningkatkan penguasaan bahasa Inggeris di kalangan murid.

1. Di atas adalah pengenalan kepada PPSMI yang menjadi isu hangat sekarang dalam negara.

2. Isu nya adalah gerakan pemansuhan PPSMI oleh GMP yang di ketuai oleh Datuk Dr Hassan Ahmad presiden persatuan tersebut. Turut di angotai oleh beberapa orang Sasterawan negara.

3. Isu memuncak dengan demosatrasi jalanan pada sabtu lepas (07/03/08) kononya menghantar memorandum bantahan kepada sultan.

4. Persoalannya, mengapa baru sekarang hendak membantah? Di manakah mereka ini 6 tahun yang lepas pada masa perlaksanaan dasar ini?

5. Bagaimana mereka tahu bahawa dasar ini gagal?

6. Mereka ini Sasterawaan negara... Adakah mereka ini belajar Sains dan Matematik..

7. Apa yang mereka tahu dengan Sains dan Matematik?

8. Sasterawan hanya pandai bekerja dengan buku.. tapi pakar sains atau matematik bermain dengan aplikasi. Mereka ini yang mengoncang dunia.. Apakah sasterwan atau mereka yang dalam golongan ini mampu untuk mencipta kenderaan? Mereka bangunan? Mencipta sesuatu yang inovatif? Mampu pergi ke angkasa? Mereka ini semua adalah pakar Sains dan Matematik. Tanya mereka ini apakah keberkesanan dasar ini. Pelajar aliran sains lebih mengetahui akan perkara ini.

9. Apa yang mereka tahu dengan Istilah - Istilah Sains?

10. Tolonglah, kalau hendak bantah PPSMI ini, saya sarankan golongan ini belajar sains dan matematik dulu. Rasai dulu bagaimana seksanya belajar sains dan matematik dalam BM di peringkat University apabila hampir semua bahan rujukan dalam Bahasa Ingeris.

11. Alasan BM semakin lemah adalah alasan yang lemah untuk membantah PPSMI ini. BM masih perkasa kerana ia adalah bahasa penghantar sejak berzaman di Malaysia. Buktikan Bangsa apa di Malaysia yang tidak tahu Bahasa Malaysia.

Persoalannya, Wajarkah PPSMI di mansuhkan atau diteruskan?

You Can'tSay That!!

1. According to a career-building Website, certain words should be avoided on the job. When someone in authority asks you to do project, you shouldn't say "Sure no problem". If you dont meant it and aren't going to follow through.

2. Otherwise you'll become known as someone who doesn't keep his words. And don't say "That is not my job". Because you may need that person help in the future.

3. And if your boss comes to you with a problem, careerbuilder.com suggests it's best not to blame someone else and say "It's not my fault!".

4. Thats the excuse Adam and Eve gave to God. They were told not to eat from the fruit on the treeof the knowledge of good and evil (Gen. 2:16-17).

5. When they disobeyed and were confronted by God, Adam blame God and Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent (3:9-19). They basically said "Its not my fault".

6. Perheps there are things we should avoid saying to God about what He's told us to do and not to do. For example - He gives us specific instructions for Christlike behaviour in 1 Corinthians 13, yet we tempted to say " I just don't feel convicted about that", or "That's not really my gift."

I was born a Muslim and lived all my life as a follower of Islam.
After the barbaric terrorist attacks done by the hands of my fellow Muslims everywhere on this globe, and after the too many violent acts by Islamists in many parts of the world, I feel responsible as a Muslim and as a human being, to speak out and tell the truth to protect the world and Muslims as well from a coming catastrophe and war of civilizations.

I have to admit that our current Islamic teaching creates violence and hatred toward Non-Muslims. We Muslims are the ones who need to change.
Until now we have accepted polygamy, the beating of women by men, and killing those who convert from Islam to other religions.

We have never had a clear and strong stand against the concept of slavery or wars, to spread our religion and to subjugate others to Islam and force them to pay a humiliating tax called Jizia.
We ask others to respect our religion while all the time we curse non-Muslims loudly (in Arabic) in our Friday prayers in the Mosques.

What message do we convey to our children when we call the Jews “Descendants of the pigs and monkeys”…. Is this a message of love and peace, or a message of hate?

I have been into churches and synagogues where they were praying for Muslims. While all the time we curse them, and teach our generations to call them infidels, and to hate them.

We immediately jump in a ‘knee jerk reflex’ to defend Prophet Mohammed when someone accuses him of being a pedophile while, at the same time, we are proud with the story in our Islamic books, that he married a young girl seven years old (Aisha) when he was above 50 years old.

I am sad to say that many, if not most of us, rejoiced in happiness after September 11th and after many other terror attacks.

Muslims denounce these attacks to look good in front of the media, but we condone the Islamic terrorists and sympathise with their cause. Till now our ‘reputable’ top religious authorities have never issued a Fatwa or religious statement to proclaim Bin Laden as an apostate, while an author, like Rushdie, was declared an apostate who should be killed according to Islamic Shariia law just for writing a book criticizing Islam.

Muslims demonstrated to get more religious rights as we did in France to stop the ban on the Hejab (Head Scarf), while we did not demonstrate with such passion and in such numbers against the terrorist murders.

It is our absolute silence against the terrorists that gives the energy to these terrorists to continue doing their evil acts.

We Muslims need to stop blaming our problems on others or on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
As a matter of honesty, Israel is the only light of democracy, civilization, and human rights in the whole Middle East.

We kicked out the Jews with no compensation or mercy from most of the Arab countries to make them “Jews-Free countries” while Israel accepted more than a million Arabs to live there, have its nationality, and enjoy their rights as human beings. In Israel, women can not be beaten legally by men, and any person can change his/her belief system with no fear of being killed by the Islamic law of ‘Apostasy,’ while in our Islamic world people do not enjoy any of these rights.
I agree that the ‘Palestinians’ suffer, but they suffer because of their corrupt leaders and not because of Israel.

It is not common to see Arabs who live in Israel leaving to live in the Arab world. On the other hand, we used to see thousands of Palestinians going to work with happiness in Israel, its ‘enemy’. If Israel treats Arabs badly as some people claim, surely we would have seen the opposite happening.

We Muslims need to admit our problems and face them. Only then we can treat them and start a new era to live in harmony with human mankind.

Our religious leaders have to show a clear and very strong stand against polygamy, pedophilia, slavery, killing those who convert from Islam to other religions, beating of women by men, and declaring wars on non-Muslims to spread Islam. Then, and only then, do we have the right to ask others to respect our religion.

The time has come to stop our hypocrisy and say it openly: ‘We Muslims have to Change’.

photos you will NEVER see in the media and what people are asking us about what's really happening here in Israel

Before we answer everyone’s questions (listed below these photos) we want to show you photos of Palestinian children who are also being used by Hamas. Little boys and girls that are being ingrained and trained when they are as young as 4 years old for one sole purpose - conquer Israel and kill the Jews in the name of Allah.

The bottom right photo shows a 9 year-old with a suicide belt on him. All of these photos of Palestinian children from age 4-10. Their childhood is being robbed from them. We want to make it clear that Israel does NOT target women and children, though Hamas hides behind them and uses them as their frontline protectors/weapons. Fundamentalist Islam does not value the life of it's children. Women and children are being killed in the crossfire.

Greg asks: “Do any Jews and Arabs live together in peace within Israel”

There are more than 1 million Arabs that live “within Israel ” – that Israel gave citizenship to after the Jews came back to Israel in 1948. These Jews and Arabs live together in Israel in peace. Cities like Haifa and Beer Sheva are cities where Jews and Arabs live together in peace. This is not a war between Jews and Arabs, it is a war against Hamas, a terrorist organization which became the elected government of Gaza . Hamas has always had a goal to destroy as many of the Jewish people and as much of Israel as it can.

Almost everyone asks: “What’s it like living in Israel right now”
That depends on where someone lives in the country. Last week we thought we might be on the verge of war starting in the North after rockets were fired into Israel . A rocket exploded in the kitchen of a nursing home while residents were eating in the next room. The North was put on high alert.

Today 13 rockets fell in the south as of 4PM our time here as the sun is going down. One missile directly hit a home in Ashkelon as the family ran for the bomb shelter.

This morning Hamas statedthat they are NOT interested in a truce with Israel .

For the past 6 years rockets have CONTINUALLY been fired into southern Israel , keeping many residents near Gaza (such as Sederot) in a state of constant alert and for many, constant fear. The Israeli government should have acted years ago to put an end to the terror and murder. I reported two years ago, that a neighbor of my cousin was killed when a rocket directly hit her as she was on her porch, killing her instantly and blowing up the house – though no one else was inside. The government did not act then and they have been very patient for the past 6 years. With so many rockets blowing up in Israel every day, action finally had to be taken.

Joshua asked, “Are there Jewish Believers and ministry workers or their relatives in that area, so that we know how to pray”

Since 2002 thousands of rockets fired by Hamas have landed in Southern Israel where many of my family lives and many Believers live. There are a number of Messianic congregations and fellowships within rocket range of Hamas rockets In Ashdod, Askelon and Beer Sheva.

Many of the Believers and my family in the south are living day by day, not knowing if when they are asleep or driving if a rocket will end their life. Depending on how close you are to the border of course brings the intensity up, however these days you never know where a rocket will land, and they are reaching farther and farther. Everybody wants to live in peace, but this will only happen if the Israeli Army can destroy the infrastructure of Hamas. Until then, the wailing sirens and bomb shelters are part of daily life.

Linda asked: “What is the truth, is the media telling us everything – I hear different things, what’s the truth”

You must understand who Hamas is. Unlike a normal army which plays by the rules, Hamas which has always been a terrorist organization (voted in by the people of Gaza as their government) hides its weaponry and rockets in mosques, homes, schools, and civilian homes.

The Israeli army has done everything to limit civilian casualties however Hamas hides their gunmen and artillery behind women and children, making them unforeseen casualties. Hamas solders wear civilian clothing or even stolen Israeli army uniforms, and since Israel will not fire on civilians, out of nowhere these civilians turn around and fire their weapons.

Islam does not see life as precious. In the name of Allah they train their children 4 years of age and up with machine guns, grenades, rocket launches, and fitting them with suicide belts. Yes, they place suicide belts on small children and have them shout to Allah. The Palestinians of Hamas use their children and they hide behind their children. Can you imagine doing this to your children Here in Israel , we protect our children and we do everything to protect the innocent civilians, men, women, and children in Gaza .

The media does NOT report this.

We pray that Israel will quickly find and destroy all of the tunnels used for smuggling rockets and ammunitions that come from Russian, China , and Iran – and that the Israeli army can bring quiet and peace for both the Jewish people and the people in Gaza .

However this is ultimately a SPIRITUAL battle between God and Satan, and it won’t be long before the enemies of Israel strike again, as they strike against “the Apple of His Eye.” God fulfilled prophecy in 1948, the prophecy of Isaiah 66:8, how “this nation would be born in a single day.” So we know that God is in control.

Who has ever heard of such a thing

Can a country be born in a day

or a nation be brought forth in a moment

Yet no sooner is Zion in labor

than she gives birth to her children.

Your prayers for the Jewish Believers who are currently serving in the Israeli army are most appreciated. We know that God is in control and that these things must take place until Yeshua our Messiah comes back. Israel has gone through a number of wars since 1948, and we know that God has His timetable.
